Innovation Compounding is searching for a full-time Compounding Staff Pharmacist to join the team at our PCAB-accredited sterile and non-sterile compounding facility in Kennesaw, GA.

The position is responsible for collaborating with our team of compounding pharmacists and technicians to accurately compound and dispense high-quality sterile and non-sterile compounded medications. The position is additionally responsible for communicating with patients, doctors, and other healthcare personnel via phone, electronically, and in person to meet the patient’s compounding needs.

As a compounding pharmacist, this employee will be responsible for:

• Supervision of compounding activities and staff to ensure full compliance with company SOP’s, USP guidelines, and state/federal regulations
• Accurate formulation and verification of compounded preparations
• Reviewing and verifying prescriptions orders issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy of the dispensed compounded medications
• Providing consultation and education to patients and prescribers including, but not limited to, drug interactions, side effects, proper use, and storage of compounded medications.
• Performing and directing accurate compounding procedures to prepare quality compounded preparations
• Assisting in the research and development of unique, customized compounded preparations

Requirements

Pharmacist Qualifications and Skills:

• Georgia-licensed pharmacist with license in good standing with the state
• Ability and desire to obtain additional state licensures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Strong math and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and focus on compliance and quality assurance
• Previous leadership experience is a plus
• Previous sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience is a plus
