Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you are a vital part of our team that is responsible for the day to day operations of the pharmacy and the service provided to our patients. This is an independent pharmacy located in N. Philadelphia and we are looking for a full-time pharmacy technician. Owners have 30+ years of experience with owning and operating independent pharmacies.

Hours will be: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

The duties of a Pharmacy Technician are as follows:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
  • Assist in inventory and pharmacy management processes including paperwork, order review, and inventory management
  • Complete transactions on the cash register.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service while collecting customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions
  • Entry of prescription information
  • Insurance billing
  • Packing of medication into prescription containers.


Requirements

Experience / Requirements

  • Basic keyboarding/typing skills
  • Pharmacy Technician experience or education preferred. If you do not have pharmacy technician experience, please have long experience (2+ years) at a single job location with references to match.
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Mastery of RX30 pharmacy billing software preferred, but not required.

Education

• Pharmacy Technician registration or certification preferred, but not necessary
