Postdoctoral Fellowship: Health Outcomes Research

Location: The Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy, Columbus, Ohio

Program Description: An exciting postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is available at The Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy within the Division of Outcomes and Translational Sciences.

The goal of the fellowship program is to provide comprehensive postgraduate training to prepare a pharmacy fellow to design, conduct, and evaluate pharmaceutical and health outcomes research with a focus on application to solving problems in the pharmacy profession, healthcare system, and the pharmaceutical industry. This fellowship will provide advanced research training to pharmacists to prepare for positions in a variety of settings such as academia, the pharmaceutical industry, managed care organizations, government, and consulting.

The program includes graduate coursework focused on core competencies of research methods, biostatistics, pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes, as well as hands-on experience and mentored research training at the College of Pharmacy. The fellow will have additional training in areas such as grant-writing, presentation and publication skills, and teaching. There will be ample opportunities for professional networking and development.

Qualifications: PharmD required. Previous residency or equivalent clinical training preferred. Must be licensed in Ohio (or attain license during fellowship). Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills are a must.

The College of Pharmacy is a part of The Ohio State University Health Sciences Center, with state-of-the-art classroom, research, and library facilities available to students pursing postgraduate training. Fellows will be supported by a stipend, tuition assistance, and health insurance.
