The College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin is dedicated to providing exemplary education, training, research, and professional development for Pharm.D. students, graduate students, and postgraduates; to advance discovery, innovation, and patient care. To help advance this mission, we are seeking a distinguished applicant to fill one professional-track (non-tenure), clinical faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or professor (depending on qualifications) with additional responsibilities as Residency Program Director for the

H-E-B/UT PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program, including opportunity for clinical practice and retail support at H-E-B Pharmacy.

The successful applicant will lead pharmacy residents and site preceptors across the Austin and San Antonio areas as Residency Program Director of the H-E-B/UT PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program. This role is responsible for all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to the progression of residents within the program, appoints and supports pharmacist preceptors, leads continuous residency program improvement in conjunction with the residency advisory committee, and collaborates with all partners in the program. Opportunity exists for the candidate to function as a H-E-B Pharmacy Partner and provide pharmacy services to patients. Pharm.D. student and residency-based teaching in the college are an expectation, in alignment with candidate expertise. The successful individual will have community-based research experience and will collaborate with tenure-track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship. Qualifications

Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and be licensed or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas. Candidates must meet the Residency Program Director eligibility and qualification requirements of the Accreditation Standard for Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Programs prepared jointly by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Preference will be given to those candidates who have successfully completed an ASHP/APhA accredited PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program.
